The Richards Middle School Band is located in Lawrenceville, GA, and is under the direction of Jennifer Carwile. There are 225 students currently enrolled in the program. We are on a rotating A/B schedule. Our extracurricular activities include Do Dah Band, Drumline, and other small ensembles. Both 7th and 8th Grade Bands perform at the GMEA District 13 Large Group Festival and have consistently earned Excellent and Superior ratings.

Jennifer Carwile - Director

Mrs. Carwile has a Master's in Music Education from Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, Ill. Her Bachelor in Music Education is from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. In addition to teaching at Richards Middle School, she also teaches private lessons. Mrs. Carwile is a Michigan Native, teaching in Holland for six years before coming to Georgia. She is married to Mr. Kevin Carwile, Director of Bands at North Hall High School.
